Tech Podcasts Production Values Improve

I wonder how many folks really understand what a podcast is? For me, walking to the dog and listening to an updated on the latest tech news, or being entertained by a comedy podcast is just awesome. This is new media. While once we were all enslaved to hundreds of free and for-pay tech journals .. today, we can just relax, sit back and listen.
Production values of both audio and video podcasts are improving .. little things that drive one nuts like variable audio levels, bad editing and host banter seem to be a thing of the past.
Emerging from the swamp are hosts that are less interested in their own persona and more interested in educating and entertaining their listeners. What is emerging is real personalities.
Notable are:
- Molly Wood, Tom Merrit and Veronia Belmont with CNET’s Buzz Out Loud
- This Week In Tech (TWIT) with Leo Laporte and friends
It seems to be that the more relaxed the hosts, the easier the segments are on the listeners. Taking one less serious seems to be key to reducing the listener stress.
