    Very interesting. The guy is correct — we need open platforms, we do not need another walled garden.

    there are often trade offs. in the case of iPhone a lot of the capabilities of the phone (specific gestures, accelerometer) are unique to the device and I would expect not be exposed in an open source implementation.

    perhaps someone could generate an iphone profile for open moko.
