My Neighbor Judy posted this short little video of the Forest Fire burning on the hill right behind us.
This puts some perspective on how close this was!.
Fire is almost out, certainly under control and the teams are in the mop up stage.

Cottage Time

Well, here we go! the family has just signed a construction contract for a little cottage in the woods, on the Pacific Coast. Along with the 35 page construction contract, we added 37 pages of high-tech amendments to support what we hope is a high-tech cottage, where all the tech is non-visible and assistive. [...]
